The Serving Team of Loretto UMC functions to develop and maintain a system of outreach serving opportunities that extend to our community, nation and world so that we, as a congregation, can be the hands of Christ reaching out and serving by matching resources with needs.
● Food Pantry
The Food Pantry is in need of the following items: jelly, beef stew, crackers, boxed dry milk, laundry detergent and liquid dish detergent. Donations may be brought to the COLLECTION BINS in the Church entrance, the first Sunday of the month.
Jesus calls us to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, welcome the stranger, care for the sick, and visit those who are in prison.

It has come to our attention that not everyone is aware of our Prayer Shawl Ministry, what it is and what it does. So let me tell you all about it… It is a ministry of love and caring, friendship and fellowship, and sharing and giving.
The idea of this ministry was brought to our attention by Mrs. Nancy Wedge. Basically, we make and give “prayer gifts.” Our prayer gifts include shawls, lap blankets and full size afghans and blankets … made with love and prayers. We pray, while we are making them, that our gifts will bring comfort, hope, healing. All of our gifts are blessed in the church sanctuary by Pastor Don Spencer. Some are given in mourning, some say get well soon, others are given to say thank you, and others are given just to say we care.
